The second annual Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo will run June 10th to 12th, 2011 at the Iron Horse Equestrian Complex south of Milton. The world–class line–up of clinicians this year will include Wayne Roycroft, the recently retired coach of the Australian Equestrian Team, which has won eleven Olympic medals including Olympic golds in eventing in 1992, 1996, and 2000.
"Mr. Roycroft was the Australian coach for 22 years and has been the Chairman of the FEI World Eventing Committee," says Lorie Jocius, President of Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo. "We are extremely fortunate to be able to have someone with Mr. Roycroft’s credentials offering clinics here in Canada."
To complete the eventing offers, Jane Savoie will be running clinics on dressage. As the dressage coach of the 1996 and 2000 Canadian Three–Day Event Team, Jane’s reputation in the dressage world is stellar.
"Last year we ran Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo at the Arkell Research Station outside of Guelph," explains Jocius. "With the expansion in our clinic programming this year, we needed to move to a larger venue which is why we picked the Iron Horse Equestrian Complex located between Milton and Burlington. Since the Equine Expo showcases all breeds and all disciplines, this new location gives us more flexibility and can facilitate many more horses."
For those interested in driving horses, Muffy Seaton from Williston, South Carolina, will direct clinics on properly hitching horses for driving and reveal tips on combined driving. Ms. Seaton is an ADS judge in pleasure, combined driving and driving dressage. She also holds the prestigious British Driving Society Light Harness Horse Instructor’s Certificate.
"Those who follow Western riding and reining will be delighted to know that the 2010 winner of the Road to the Horse competition, Craig Cameron, will be offering clinics on advanced horsemanship, colt starting and reining," says Brian Kitchen, the Expo's Equine Co–ordinator. "In 2005, Craig founded The Extreme Cowboy Race™ and we are thrilled that he will be conducting this multi–faceted equestrian sporting event over two evenings at Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo."
"With an indoor and outdoor trade show, clinics, seminars and demonstrations, this is the place to learn more about horses," says Jocius. If there are new technologies, techniques, products or services that can improve horse care and make horsemanship better, easier and more effective, then enthusiasts will find it all at Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo.
Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 10th, 11th and 12th, 2011 at the Iron Horse Equestrian Complex south of Milton. For more information, please visit www.EquineExpo.ca or call 1–800–563–5441.
